Summary:
This position is responsible for conducting regular security rounds of assigned schools, bus lots, and other administrative facilities.
This position's security rounds include driving the site and walking the perimeter of buildings on those sites; walking may be up to several miles per shift in all types of weather conditions.
This position is one of being a visual deterrent, interacting with persons on PWCS properties, and reporting potential criminal activity rather than one of investigation and apprehension.
This position is responsible for reporting to school sites for various alarm notifications or other security incidents and determining a course of action based upon reconnaissance of that location.
This position must be able to work special details and overtime.
This position is considered essential personnel requiring the ability to report to work outside of the assigned work schedule, and/or during poor weather conditions, or other emergencies.
