2 indoor pools, 4 community pools and 2 waterparks.
The aquatics department serves over 400,000 visitors a year.
DPR aquatic facilities are a 7 day a week operation and requires a flexible work schedule to include:
early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
We are hiring various entry level positions at the below DPR facilities for the 2024 summer season, apply now! Available Positions & Locations:
CONCESSIONAIRE - Veterans Park (age 15+) The Concessionaire position will provide customer service in the concessions area, which includes dispensing food/beverages and operating a cash register.
This position will require the incumbent to work in an outdoor environment, working with the public of all ages, and cleaning of the facility.
CASHIER - Veterans Park (age 16+) This position will require the individual to work in an outdoor environment, working with the public of all ages.
This individual will assist by processing ticket sales and payments, operating a cash register, answering phones, checking tickets and bags, driving golf carts, answering questions and providing top notch customer service.
These positions require a minimum education of 8th grade or higher.
The Department of Parks and Recreation conducts DMV records checks on all employees driving for work purposes and criminal background checks on all hires age 18 years and older.

NATURE OF WORK This class is part of the Recreation Job Family.
Incumbents performs routine work in connection with various recreation programs or activities.
Work is performed under close supervision with specific instructions provided as to the duties to be completed, the order of completion and method of completion.
May perform duties as an attendant (nursery, birthday party etc.
), cashier, concessionaire, concessions cook, food and beverage and sales associate; and providing daily upkeep and light maintenance of equipment and facility.
Distinguishing Characteristics This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable code of conduct rules; providing customer services; and performing reception and/or concession duties.
Work is performed in accordance with set procedures and guidelines, and deviation from those guidelines require approval.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 8th grade education and 0-12 months of related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 15 or 16 years old depending on position; May require Federal or State background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Positions in this class typically require:
