Under general direction, independently determines approach to objectives and projects, demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices. Creates writing documents for the Communications Department and serves as key point of contact for various processes and projects in the creation of internal communications materials and programs designed to meet the communication needs throughout the enterprise. Also provides graphics design support and creates presentation materials for the Communications Department as well as external communications materials as needed.

70% Develops and assists in the coordinating the development of internal written communications deliverables and programs, making recommendations to ensure that projects appropriately reflect Aerojet Rocketdyne/GenCorp''s interests. Interacts with Communications'' team, operating divisions and management to deliver communications materials - to include presentation/media creation, graphics design and deployment. Coordinates internal monthly newsletter design and provides presentation development assistance to the vice president of communications and senior communications management.
Duties may also include (but are not limited to) video script writing, executive speech development, marketing collateral copy development, management of special projects as well as other communications documents as required.
Must be able to perform analysis to determine the best media approach for all audiences and deliverable methods, as well as provide graphics design support for the company's internal and external websites, digital boards and any other hardcopy material collateral.
25% Responsible for updating internal and external company Web page copy across the enterprise. Assists the multimedia team with ensuring that both Aerojet Rocketdyne and GenCorp Web content are up to date and relevant. Assists team with consultation, documentation and best practices procedures related to the most efficient enterprise multimedia and communication deployment.
5% Performs additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to, assisting in various other projects within the
Communications department.
Bachelor''s degree in Communications/Journalism and six (6) years directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable
Qualifications: Strong background in graphics design, English grammar and composition. Conversant with good graphics practices. Interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, both within the Communications Department and throughout the company. Skilled in effective scheduling and prioritizing work flow. Ability to analyze data of a confidential and/or sensitive nature. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, InDesign, Power Point, Outlook, Access Database and Training Information systems.
Must also demonstrate ability to work well with others; have a keen attention to detail, and communicate effectively. Must be flexible enough to fill in where required on demand.
Ability to drive and possess a valid driver''s license and meet automobile insurability requirements of the company.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
